Transforming the Employee Experience for 200K Global Workforce

Senior Manager, UX — HRCILS

Oracle’s 200,000-person global workforce relied on fragmented internal platforms that lacked a unified identity. Amidst a global pandemic and hiring freezes, the company needed to modernize the employee experience, integrate Generative AI, and scale DEI initiatives across a massive enterprise ecosystem.

The Challenge

  • Systemic Modernization: Partnered with Global UX Leadership to architect the enterprise-wide deployment of the Redwood Design System and "Ask Oracle AI."

  • Executive Influence: Facilitated C-suite and SVP briefings, embedding Design Thinking into HR leadership strategy to align product roadmaps with employee needs.

  • Resilient Leadership: Navigated resource constraints by assuming a "player-coach" role—personally delivering IC production while expanding team oversight to include global content migration.

  • Strategic Partnerships: Leveraged prior enterprise expertise to coach cross-functional teams in architecting a communication framework that successfully unified and managed hundreds of global stakeholders.

The Strategy

  • AI at Scale: Spearheaded the "Ask Oracle AI" integration, revolutionizing the digital workplace for 200,000 employees.

  • Data-Driven Quality: Established SUS usability benchmarking for internal products, delivering the technical validation necessary to secure high-priority UX enhancements.

  • Cultural Reach: Led the global DEI/ERG content expansion, significantly increasing resource discoverability for the entire global workforce.

  • Operational Velocity: Maintained delivery timelines during a hiring freeze by architecting a bespoke, customizable intranet dashboard for 200k users.

  • Strategic Insights: Synthesized Global Employee Survey data into actionable insights for Executive Leadership, directly influencing long-term HR strategy.

I directed a multidisciplinary team of designers, researchers, and content specialists, establishing a high-trust environment where psychological safety fueled rapid modernization. By fostering a culture of radical candor and data-driven experimentation, I empowered the team to translate complex research artifacts—from heat maps to SUS benchmarking—into high-velocity product refinements.

Data driven

I overhauled our DesignOps architecture to transition a 30-person team from reactive requests to a proactive, real-time workflow. By institutionalizing Figma, Jira, and Wrike, I replaced fragmented stakeholder demands with a structured framework that established design as a respected, high-impact partner across the organization. This is one of many examples of my process improvements.
