Leading a $2B Enterprise UX Portfolio
Director, UX — Observability & Management
Oracle needed to modernize a massive $2B telemetry and database management portfolio while navigating 30 years of legacy architecture and a fragmented engineering culture — all without interrupting a multi-billion dollar revenue stream.
The Challenge
Pivoted to a Director-level mandate within Observability & Management (O&M), orchestrating the transition of mission-critical systems onto the Redwood design system. Dissolved decades-old silos, forged a strategic bridge with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and personally contributed IC skills to address critical understaffing.
The Strategy
Legacy Modernization: Orchestrated the transition of mission-critical systems—some spanning 30 years of legacy architecture—onto the modern Redwood design system. This required navigating extreme technical debt while maintaining service continuity for enterprise SaaS customers.
SaaS Revenue Enablement: Spearheaded the design and architecture of the Chargeback feature for Ops Insights, a mission-critical tool designed specifically to meet the fiscal reporting needs of Tier-1 Enterprise SaaS clients.
Silo Transformation: Modernized a fragmented engineering culture by dissolving decades-old silos, institutionalizing cross-functional collaboration frameworks, and forging a strategic bridge with the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) design organization.
Agile Execution in "Flight": Managed a "building the plane while flying it" scenario, aligning disparate product roadmaps under a unified design vision without interrupting a multi-billion dollar revenue stream.

The Redwood Redesign
This is what it looks like to modernize mission-critical systems with three decades of history. I partnered with Engineering to move these enterprise SaaS tools onto the Redwood system, which meant untangling a massive amount of technical debt without ever pulling the plug for our customers. It was high-stakes orchestration, ensuring the new experience felt premium and cohesive while the underlying architecture caught up.
The Power of the Triad
In the complex landscape of Oracle Operations Insights, granular visibility isn't just a feature—it’s a business imperative. I collaborated in a high-velocity partnership with Engineering and Product to architect a Chargeback Feature that transformed how customers segment and track billing across diverse lines of business.
